Located by the river in Teneriffe, just minutes from Brisbane 's CBD, Bodycentral Urban Day Spa features 5 treatment rooms, including a wet room with Vichy Shower and a separate infrared sauna. Their internationally trained team provides specialist beauty therapy, skin management, massage and body treatments, private yoga, meditation classes and life coaching for men & women.
The indigenous people of this area of Brisbane including Breakfast Creek were the Turrbal people. Breakfast Creek, called ‘Yawagar’ (or ‘yowoggera’) meaning ‘corroboree place’, was a popular camping and corroboree spot. The explorers Oxley and Cunningham met members of the clan at the mouth of the Breakfast Creek in 1824. The name given to New Farm by the Turrbal people was Binkinba, a word meaning place of the land tortoise.
Today the Teneriffe/New Farm precinct is known for great restaurants, multitude of art galleries, river walks and theatre.
Parking
Parking is available in the streets around Bodycentral, but please allow time to find a car park before your treatment. For Retreats we have limited under cover car parking available. Please book this at the time of you appointment with the receptionist.

GETTING HERE
Take a Ferry
Take a Citicat from any terminal to the Bulimba ferry stop and catch the historic cross river ferry to Teneriffe or stroll through New Farm Park and along the river walks to Teneriffe. Bodycentral is only 2 minutes walk from the Teneriffe ferry stop. The ferry from Bulimba runs every 5 minutes.
Take a Taxi
For people in a hurry, a taxi ride from the CBD takes about 5 minutes and costs $7 to $9, depending on traffic.
Take a Walk
An interesting walk for those inclined. Start from anywhere in the city: First find the riverfront. You can walk along the riverfront all the way from the west side of the city to the Story Bridge on the east side, travelling through the Botanic gardens and the river walks. There is path underneath the Story Bridge that is well travelled these days, and from here you could divert to explore the Valley Shopping precinct, or walk along Arthur St to Teneriffe. This walk takes about 20 minutes from the Story Bridge.
